To: Alpha Diallo and Family,
The All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (GC) and its All-African Women’s Revolutionary Union (GC), expresses genuine and sincere revolutionary condolences on the transition to our ancestors, our sister in struggle, Shirley Pate.
We send our deepest heartfelt sympathy and empathy to you and your family. We see your loss as our loss. Shirley’s history of compassion for the oppressed and exploited will surely be missed, yet her contributions to world Humanity ensure her a permanent place in the annals of history. We do not offer this proclamation lightly.
We truthfully declare that Shirley stood fearlessly in opposition to the ignoble and inhumane deeds of the perpetrators of colonialism, neo-colonialism, imperialism, and the oppression of women worldwide. She lived in solidarity with the exploited and oppressed. These facts, for our Party, compel us to recognize Shirley with the pantheon of freedom-loving heroes and sheroes of Africa and the world.
Shirley’s life of struggle, sacrifice, service, support for and solidarity with the struggling Masses of Guinea, Haiti, Honduras, El Salvador, Cuba, Turtle Island (USA), Indigenous Peoples and Nations of the Western Hemisphere and the oppression and exploitation of Africans in the USA was exemplary. Long live the examples of Shirley’s path of struggle, her noble ideas and fight for human dignity, justice, and peace. We salute her and say Shirley Pate ‘Presente’!
Yours in Struggle,
All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (GC)
